The Warped 45’s
First cousins Ryan Wayne and Dave McEathron grew up together in small town Southern Ontario. They both played music and started making solo records early on. Dave moved to Toronto and recorded two solo records with a third one on the way, while Ryan took off to distant Australia where he also recorded as a solo artist on Australian label 305 Productions.
Recently, the cousins were re-united and their solo careers inevitably merged.
In October, 2007, Ryan and Dave joined forces with great local Toronto talents Mark Gabriel (Holy Microphone, Knockout Pill), Kevin Hewitt (Flophouse) and drummer/singer extraordinaire Hamal “Silky” Finn Roye – and The Warped 45’s was born.
Seven months later, The Warped 45’s are ready to release their self titled debut EP, produced by John Critchley, and mastered by Byron Kent Wong; six finely crafted songs with a dreamy Steve Earle meets R.E.M flavour.
With songs already written for three more records, The Warped 45’s are fired up and ready to go. * Track one produced by Brian Pickett at Voodoo Highway Studios
